Why was Plymouth ranked as the Best Place to Live in America?

Karen Hanson, 2 year resident

“Plymouth is definitely the best place to live! We've been telling our friends and family that every since we moved into the community and now we have the proof! My husband and I purchased our first home here in Plymouth two and a half years ago. We live south of Parkers Lake, in a home built in 1918. We have a big backyard and a house with a history, unlike many homes these days. We are minutes away from the Luce Line Trail and enjoy walking our dog by Parkers Lake. We recently had a baby daughter and we are glad that we live in a great school district (Wayzata), one of the best in the state. It's fantastic being only about 15 minutes away from the amenities of downtown Minneapolis, but with the nature and serenity of living in a suburb. Many of our guests often comment about how they like the big trees in our neighborhood and how it seems like we live in a community with a small town feel.”

Deepa Sarasamma & family, 2 year residents

“We moved to Plymouth in 2006 and we really love it here. Very good schools, low crime rate, lots of parks, and lots of lakes.... friendly people around ...all these make Plymouth the best city! We are so thrilled that we moved here.”

Shelly Magnuson, Plymouth resident

“My daughter, Ellie, age 10, and I read the spotlight article (in the Plymouth News) regarding the pumpkin drop-off and were very excited about recycling pumpkins. Ellie invited 6 of her neighborhood friends over to make some Pumpkins for Pigs flyers. They used scrap booking materials and made them very festive. On Halloween, they distributed 60 flyers throughout the neighborhood of Imperial Hills while trick-or-treating. Sun., Nov. 2, they collected over 40 jack-o-lanterns and brought them to the recycling center.
This is what makes Plymouth such a great place to live! Thanks for the wonderful opportunity to teach our youth creative ways to recycle!”
