Compostable Bag Law for Curbside Yard Waste Collection
If you are putting yard waste at the curb for collection by your hauler, it will only be accepted in approved compostable bags made from kraft paper or are labeled ASTM D6400. Bags marked "biodegradable" or "degradable" do not meet standards of the new state law. Most home improvement and hardware stores carry compostable bags.
